ThinkQuest for Tomorrow's Teachers (T3) brings a new approach to technology use and integration for teacher education faculty, pre-service and current K-12 Educators and their students. Funded in part by a US Department of Education Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to use Technology (PT3) Catalyst grant, T3 is a comprehensive effort, led by ThinkQuest, being undertaken by a consortium of universities, school districts, non-profit organizations and businesses to prepare a new generation of teachers who are proficient not just in using technology, but in utilizing, and having their students utilize these powerful technology tools in to enhance student learning. To view Student projects created by faculty and students in Benerd School of Education classes, visit the T3 Project Lab and the Pacific site in the T3 Partners Lab.

![]() The Dewey Chambers Academy for Technology in Education, founded in 2000 as a joint project of Pacific's Benerd School of Education and CPCE, is grounded in the belief that effective uses of new technologies to enhance student learning requires a new understanding of the value of collaborative, goal directed learning among a community of learning and teaching peers as well as knowledge of the computer skills. Academy programs are currently part of the T3 grant activities even though it is a continuing Pacific program. |
How do T3 and DCATE relate? During the 2000-2003 grant period, all DCATE activities are part of the ThinkQuest for Tomorrow's Teachers (T3) project sponsored by
a U.S. Department of Education PT3 Grant Initiative

Chris Paluszek, 15, lives in Norfolk, Virginia, with his mom and dad, a twelve year old brother and nine year old sister. A freshman at Maury High School (2001-2002), Chris has been interested in making movies since he was eight years old. He started by taking still shots of his action figures and stringing them together into animated movies. His two years of E-camp experience has opened a whole new world of movie making for him through the use of iMovie. He has a digital camera now and has been making innovative movies with his friends at home, many of which are used in school projects. In this clip, Chris talks about his e-camp experience and how his team made WhosGotNews.com to teach other students how to create news shows for their high schools. The site won a ThinkQuest Achievement Award. Chris created this interview and directed his dad in videotaping it. Visit the WhosGot News Web site!
